Customer Reviews: A very good source of Sephardic music July 28, 2007 Birrell Walsh (San Francisco, CA USA) I bought this book to use with my recorder, and got 143 pages of liturgical and folk music. It is nicely printed and includes a guide to Ladino pronunciation, which seems about halfway between modern Spanish and Portuguese. I do wish all of the texts had been in Roman characters - a few are only in the Hebrew alphabet.
Overall, I am very pleased and have recommended this book to friends.
Pretty rubbish... August 23, 2008 Ms. A. Gabantxo (UK) Beware that score book contains CD already. I followed amazon advice and ended up buying the score book (containing CD, which is not stated) and the CD separately. I've written to amazon about this, trying to return the CD, but got no answer. Simply sending it back would mean I'd only get 5 dollars back - from a 16 dollar purchase. The CD isn't very good, though the score book is useful if you're interested in the subject as I am. All in all, I'm very disappointed with this purchase, which was expensive to boot. The thing is not very good, really, and the customer service has been completely rubbish. Sorry to say.
